Yoga, who is it for…….?
From the foot hills of India, to outback Queensland, if your are one of the billions of people all over the world trying to balance family, work, and play while attempting to maintain some sort of sanity - could Yoga be the answer?
Current research sends a clear message - the ancient art of Yoga and Meditation can reduce stress levels, improve thought clarity, improved gut health, and increase capacity for compassion. Some well documented benefits from Harvard Medical School demonstrate how yoga can assist in:
Relaxion therapy for gut health
Lets be honest, Yoga is not a new concept, its roots and benefits can be traced back thousands of years with most people holding some level of understanding around the practice, maybe even having tried a class or two. So what is the elephant in the room preventing all from sharing in these benefits regularly?
Yoga…what is it? Who is it for? I have come to realise Yoga is not about how far can I stretch, or how can I look like the model in the add, nor is it about getting likes on social media, even though all of these might assist short term goals. Yoga is deeper than all of that, with long lasting, incremental results.
Authentic Yoga is about self truth and connecting inwards, it is an individual journey that will take you deep inside your mind, seeking and exposing the things we all hide behind. Just like a well balanced garden, Yoga brings union to our mind, body, and spirituality. Yoga nourishes us with self love and compassion providing the tools to connect our individual consciousness with a collective consciousness and overall wellbeing. True Yoga does not discriminate, nor align with any one aesthetic, ability, identity, or belief system.
Simply put, YOGA IS FOR EVERYBODY! It feeds us from the inside, puts aside all prejudice, teaching self love and compassion, compassion for others, strengthening our body and mind whilst welcoming all.
